I've always been an Elsie Creek fan, and now that I'm actually living in outback NT in a real-life version, the books in the series feel all the more like home to me. One of those battler towns where everyone knows everyone, everyone pulls together, grudges and friendships run long and deep... and tragically things are still very easily overlooked and hidden.
